Branch Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the operation of a branch office with total savings deposits of varying amounts. This can be a full- or limited-facility office. Exercises executive and administrative control over the functions of the office. Administers the operation of the branch with primary emphasis on savings and customer service activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provides personnel management for branch staff.
• Manages overall branch office operations.
• Responsible for maintaining office building, grounds, equipment and fixtures.
• Occasionally maintains contact with assigned real estate brokers and builders.
• Occasionally takes and processes loan applications and closes loans.
• Handles all types of savings accounts.
• Prepares reports for management as required.
• Establishes and helps to attain internal performance objectives for branch office business volume, deposits, loan portfolios and quality of audit reports.
• Provides and maintains a professional business-like atmosphere within the branch office.
• Reviews staff members for formal performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments. Counsels employees when needed. Coordinates staff training when needed.
• Tests branch security equipment and investigates security issues when needed.
• Represents the financial institution in public relations activities and community affairs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. One to two years in financial institution in supervisory capacity.

Loan Processor

POSITION SUMMARY
Extensive knowledge of loan documentation, loan processing, usually obtained through experience or formal training. Requires the ability to understand loan documents and the loan system and how to relate the loan document information into the loan processing system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Processes new and renewed loans on the core system from various loan documents and forms received by lending associates.
• Processes Laser Pro consumer loan documents.
• Reviews and processes file maintenance request.
• Processes loan payments, advances, NSF payments, draft rejects and unposted items on the loan mainframe system.
• Processes seasonal student new loans, renewals and advances.
• Monitors/verifies various daily and month end reports.
• Daily customer service with internal and external customers

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
One to Two years of loan operations experience
Must have a good understanding of loan application policies and procedures as well as
documentation required by government regulations

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Ability to operate office machines; scanner, copier, fax and calculator
• Pays close attention to detail; possesses good organizational skills
• Maintains confidentially
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively
• Proficient in or ability to learn Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook email

Part-Time Teller - Metairie

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides a variety of customer savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as customer services such as sales of money orders and traveler’s checks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records.
• Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
• Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensures the payments match balances due. Enters payments into computer. Generates customer receipts.
• Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
• Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
• Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
• Is responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institution’s forms.

• Maintain safe levels of vault currency supply.
• Remitting excess to currency to Federal Reserve.
• Submit order for currency to the Federal Reserve, and order for Postage Stamps and maintaining entries for all.
• Completing trades with tellers for currency supply.
• Maintain secure and balanced currency ledger entries.
• Maintain cash supply for commercial business, ATM, and Saturday bags.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma. Cash Handling experience.
