Metairie Bank and Trust announces the hiring of Todd Rauch, CPA, as its new Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Todd will be responsible for all financial operations and activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, investments, and interest rate risk management, as well as information technology and investor relations. “We are excited to have Mr. Rauch join Metairie Bank as our new CFO. Todd will fit in well with our team and bring energy and a fresh set of ideas to the many challenges most of us are facing in this current economic environment,” shared Ron E. Samford, Jr., President & CEO.
Todd began his banking career in 2018. His most recent position was Senior Accountant/Treasurer with American Bank & Trust in Covington. Previously he was an Audit Supervisor with Hannis T. Bourgeois, specializing in financial institutions. Mr. Rauch earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Management at Louisiana State University and his Accounting Degree from the University of New Orleans. He is presently enrolled in the SW Graduate School of Banking program at Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Rauch just recently completed his term as the St Louis King of France Men’s Club President and continues to serve as a board member on the St Louis King of France School Advisory Board.
He and his wife, Katie, are lifelong residents of the New Orleans area along with their 3 children, Gavin, Madison and Max. In their spare time, the family loves to travel, go to the beach, and spend time boating/skiing in the summertime.
Todd remembers Metairie Bank fondly from his childhood, recalling that “every Saturday morning when I was growing up, my mother had a routine that included making a trip to the bank as soon as they would open. The appearance of the building and logo, the vacuum-like sounds of the drive-thru transport tubes, and the friendliness of the tellers who knew me by name have been etched into my childhood memories. That bank was the Metairie Bank branch on Airline Drive. At that time, little did I know, that I would have the opportunity to be a part of this great institution later in my life.”
Metairie Bank, the Bank of Personal Service, was founded in 1947. With assets of $484 million, it is the oldest and largest commercial bank headquartered in Jefferson Parish, and serves the entire Greater New Orleans area. It has nine branches, including two banking locations on the Northshore, in Mandeville and Covington, as well as a full-service remote ATM in Covington.
