Metairie Bank and Doerr Furniture share a special connection!

Most people who have shopped for furniture in New Orleans over the last 70+ years will immediately recognize the name “Doerr Furniture”. And for good reason. Because, since 1938, Doerr Furniture has served retail furniture customers throughout the Greater Metro Area from its longtime location in the Faubourg Marigny.

Originally a wholesale business that sold rocking chairs, the 79-year-old fourth generation family business was founded by Charles L. Doerr. Today, Mr. Doerr’s great-grandson, Shane Mutter, is the president and CEO, with far-reaching plans to lead the company to an exciting next level through innovative design, growth and imaginative furniture offerings.

According to Shane, “Not only is Doerr one of the oldest customers of Metairie Bank, but my great-grandfather, Charles, was actually one of the founders of the bank in 1947 and served as president in the late 50s.”

“Doerr Furniture looks forward to many more years of banking with Metairie Bank,” said Shane. “We’re excited that the bank continues to offer the latest banking technology with financial products that are as current and as forward-thinking as our ever-changing selection at Doerr Furniture.”

It’s longtime customers like Doerr Furniture that emphasize the close bond that has always existed between Metairie Bank and its customers and how “We Connect with You.”
