Metairie Bank and Trust has announced the election of Sean M. Bruno, CPA as its newest
board member. Bruno has over 25 years of experience in performing audits and providing
consulting services to governmental and non-profit organizations, as well as small businesses.
“We are excited to have Mr. Bruno on our board,” shared Ron E. Samford, Jr., President & CEO
of Metairie Bank & Trust. “Sean brings a wealth of business and financial knowledge to the
table and shares our dedication to serving the community. He is a great addition to our board of
directors.”
Bruno graduated with honors from Morehouse College in 1993. He began his career in public
accounting with the “big six” firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. After three years at Deloitte &
Touche, he joined Bruno & Tervalon, LLP, where he eventually became a director. In 2009,
Bruno started Sean M. Bruno CPAs, a full-service CPA firm that focuses on conducting audits
of colleges, universities, and non-profits. His past and present clients include: Greater New
Orleans Sports Foundation, NFL Super Bowl Host Committee, Dillard University, Grambling
State University, and Tulane University.
In addition to his work as a CPA, Bruno sits on a number of boards and commissions, and serves
as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Orleans Parish Sherriff’s Office.
