New President and CEO
Metairie
Bank and Trust recently
announced the election of
Ron E. Samford, Jr. as its
new President and Chief
Executive Officer, replacing
Reginald H. “Ric” Smith, Jr.
who retired from the
position after 14 years with
the bank. Samford joins
Metairie Bank with 22 years
of banking experience, most
notably 15 years at Hibernia
where he served as Senior
Executive Vice President and
Chief Administrative
Officer. Prior to Hibernia,
he worked as a CPA for 12
years at Price Waterhouse.
Samford earned a B.B.A. and
an M.S. in Accounting from
Texas Tech University. He
and his wife Carol have two
daughters, Jordan, married
to Peyton Lambert, and
Claire, and reside in New
Orleans. |
