This year more then ever, our local hospitals are in need of blood. In one 24-hour period last month, the Ochsner Blood Bank transfused 262 units of blood between 47 patients – one of the most critical was an young heart patient.
Last year, twenty-two Metairie Bank employees donated during our annual Blood Drive. This year we have a goal of 32 donors. Donors can be employees, family members or customers. The Blood Mobile will be in our Main Office parking lot on Friday, June 14th from 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM.
Thank you so much for your help last year. We are confident that this year we will surpass the goal. Donating blood is truly giving the gift of life!
