On March 31, 2022, Metairie Bank’s President, Mike Gennaro, was presented with the LED Community Impact Award for having participated in the LED Loan Portfolio Guaranty Program (LPGP). LPGP was instrumental in helping small businesses recover from the effects of COVID-19.

“We want you to know that with our state partners, LED has made remarkable efforts by aiding in COVID relief to Louisiana small businesses.  As you are aware, the COVID-19 public health crisis and resulting economic crisis has created a variety of challenges for all businesses in communities across Louisiana. LED was able to provide critical assistance to Louisiana small businesses by facilitating the access to capital and support to not only persevere these small businesses but for most recover on a solid footing. The LED LPGP was instrumental in doing so having created $4.7M in loans to companies impacted by the pandemic.

LED could not have done this without the support, help, and participation of banks committed to community development. Metairie Bank has been awarded the LED Community Impact Award for its stellar performance in small business lending and community development.”

Congratulations Mike and the commercial lending team! Thank you for serving our community!
